Hi follower(s)  I received this reminder and wanted to share here to raise interest.  As a person that was fortunate enough to work with John on a few things over they years I feel that it is a small honor to be a part of this event.  For those that didn't know John take a moment to think about the nicest and most supportive guy that you have ever worked with and then add 10 points.  Dana and I are planning to head up to the track to be a part of this event in hoping that it will be in person but even if it has to be remote we will participate as well.  FWIW when the Teams are created I'll be starting one in honor of not only John but of Kjell Kallman, Ken Garza, Ric McCormick and now David Preece father, husband & MTP that we lost this season.  These guys were not taken by Stomach Cancer but they are friends among the Race Car Mechanics and  part of the Jim Russell Family and contributed greatly to the inspiration that keeps me going on this project.  I  do hope that you w

Russell Style Green Screen  It strikes me that for the Google Meet calls that I need to control the background here at the CovidCabaña... and when doing in person -6’ it’s an option in case there is a distraction background. Yeah,  I looked all the kits and all that and did some testing in the past but the Russell “frugalness” was gnawing day me.  Home Depot to the rescue. 1/2” Schedule 40 conduit snipped with a new ratchet snippet ( yay new tool )  4’ wide and 58” tall, with fittings and a few same length legs. Slip fit the lot.  Old blanket for back light diffuser  Bag o clamps & green chromatic fabric from Amazon warehouse  Lightning will be this evening after dark when the sun is down and when most calls are going to be done anyway.  The fun continues but Dane just crashed my Dpi so I gotta go yell at the Tv... 

Well suddenly we are in mid October and Petite Le Mans is on.  That means I have been busy as it can be makings sure that Acura is in the right place parts - wise as well as prepping for Laguna... and planning to get sorted for 2021-2022.   The wife wondered why I have issues with the day of the week even before  Rona came to town. I work in the future and I live in the past ha ha. So for the Film - well I have had more guys come out of the Jim Russell past to participate and boy that is inspiring!  Jacques is supposed to be back from Alaska soon and that means a Non Car trip.  My testing partner for Google Meet sessions is a busy busy BUSY Dad who is still in racing - so we are testing some day soon.  Today’s progress is I have signed up for Adobe Sign. I have to pay ( despite the wife working for them ) so I figured spend at “home” so to speak. As the inventors of PDF they seem to ha e the smoothest interface and a solid App for the iPhone that allowed a fill in of text and signatures... pretty cool. I started to rework the Image release - it was pretty cobbled together- and I’ll send out to those that have requested so far.  I also scored a person’s scrapbook that was up for sale in eBay with some stills ... but I need more personal images and movies to help make that vision - if you know anyone that has some that I could use please send them my way.

  The weeks fly by during race season - everyone knows that.   Add in the compressed Covid racing season its already October.  Update :   I have received a few releases back from potential participants and I am still looking at Adobe Sign vs. Docusign... the fun of self funded filmmaking makes the research worth the time.  Time I have $ not so much.  I get that a PDF is a PITA to deal with and that is a big priority to sort. According to my Film Mentor,  I need to make a short clip to help illustrate the concept to help garner interest of potential viewers and possible sponsors.
